Help, help, help!!! I have a chunk of hair that will not curl back up after my very first flat ironing. This after being natural for 18 months. I am at my wits end. I have tried flat beer, saturation with kinky kurly knot today. What will bring the natural curl back?
WONDERFUL POST!!!! I have 90% of these products and couldn’t agree with you more. Kinky-Curly is my holy grail for wash & gos.
I love the Cantu leave in (mixed with Olive Oil), HE Hello Hydration, Jilbere comb (had it when I was relaxed), Denman (modified) and Knot Today. Had I known about some other products though, I may not have bought the Kinky Curly shampoo or Curly Custard. It’s a little drying for my tastes. All 3 products mixed together is too drying for me and I need some oil all over by the end of the week. I have the rollers from when I was relaxed but I need my hair to grow longer in order to use them. Glad I didn’t give them away. I want to try the Aubrey Organics line and maybe the Aussie conditioner. I noticed two things that aren’t on the list that I discovered through youtube and another source. The Curls Goddess Curls gel and Shea Moisture Hair Milk. I just used these two together after my wash and go and detangling yesterday and OMG. I love them! There’s no flaking and my curls are still clumped without stiffness. I pulled on a curl this morning and it came back to life with no dry feeling and didn’t feel crunchy, yet had a flexible hold.
