i’m not the biggest loc fan. i really only like some locs and not all, but sometimes i’ll see someone sporting locs so fly that, they make me want think about starting a loc journey even though i don’t think this will ever be in the cards for me.
but what about you?
do you see yourself progressing to locs? do you think it will be a part of your natural hair journey?
or have you loc’d before and come back to “loose” natural?

a few days ago, fellow kurly bella @ShandARTProd asked:
@kurlybella do you know of any conditioners that one can leave in and not make the curls hard? have you tried aveda b curly?
as i recently blogged, i’m now in love with ion’s daily leave-in and detangling conditioner. i love the fact that it’s a moisturizing watery leave-in that leaves my hair soft and smelling really good.
i’m now using this every other day.
my other fave leave-in is kinky curly knot today. i have a soft spot in my heart for creamy conditioners…le sigh. and knot today is the bomb! i love this stuff and it works great because of the slip, soft hold, clean smell and light, but strong finish.

and I want to take a pair of the sharpest, cleanest cutting, clippers to my head any moment now. i’m having a bad hair day week. one of those weeks when you want to slap on a wig or shave your head bald – when those are the only two options that will seem to satisfy you.
“but naturals don’t have bad hair days, right?”
who ever said naturals didn’t have bad hair days?! who keeps spreading these lies?? people ask me that all the time. we do! we are not aliens or super cool, afro wearing chics who have NO days when our hair is ugly.
i can’t seem to do anything right with my hair. it’s super frizzy, past the point of “workable”, it’s super flat, super “needs a color job”, super big, super shrinking and just a super pain in the ask.

there are lots of yays and nays and heck nays around this topic, but what do you think? how do you feel about black women and blonde hair? [click to continue…]
