in HAIR CARE Q&A

awww! it’s like candy! candy!

who doesn’t want good smelling hair? i love it when the wind catches my hair and i get a whiff of my tresses. we really have no choice but to put all the good stuff in our hair but with all that good stuff we often end up with hair that smells like, well, all the good stuff, and how boring is that? hmmm, it’s kind of just like food.

pop quiz! which one smells better – strawberry short cake or eggs? banana pudding (which i’m making today – yum!) with whipped cream topping or broccoli? ding ding! we have an answer folks!

and it’s the same with out hair products. some of the best ones are #fail when it comes to natural scent. tea tree oil is great for the scalp and dandruff but oh so STANK. shea butter works wonders to style hair but is oh so DULL. extra virgin olive oil is excellent to seal and moisturize but oh so COOKING OILY and castor oil is a winter hair saver but PHEW!

you get where i’m going. sometimes we want hair that just smells good. and though not everything i put in my hair smells “healthy”, it’s not often i get to keep that good condish smell on my hair without masking it with the good stuff that keeps my hair supple.

i remember wanting my hair to always smell like herbal essence – the classic late 90′s herbal essence. now that is some good smelling condish. but if you just want something that stands out from a hair product then you can try my hair secret. yes, i have a secret and now i must give up the goods. it’s called pink sugar hair perfume.

sexy and stylish, pink sugar hair perfume leaves your locks scented with an irresistibly playful blend of vanilla, caramel and sweet candy. it’s formulated with special silicones to leave hair soft, uv-protected and sweetly scented—not oily or dry. spray onto freshly washed hair for a hint of flirty fragrance that lasts all day. if you are anti silicone, then this won’t be the hair perfume for you, but if you are not, you HAVE TO SMELL THIS!

the great thing about this line is it comes with a deodorant spray, body souffle and lotion as well as bath gel and scrub. just spray this pink sugar hair perfume and you’ll have all the boys coming to the yard! trust me on this one. click on any link or photo to get your hands on this pink ‘suga hair perfume!

and if you have a so or dh spray some of this on your hair and cuddle up with him. men love candy. cameo already told us, but in case you forgot…

have you tried pink sugar hair perfume? did you like it? would you try it on your hair?

@tisha – this hair spray is for fun and it smells sooooo good! let me know how it goes.

@dominique – how has your natural hair been since going to the dominican salon?

@onyx – np! let me know if you try it. :)

@justkriss – why can i imagine you sneaking and spraying your hair at the dinner table while your date/man goes to the bathroom?! lol! but yes, this is some good smelling stuff if you like sweet!

@moni – this is just a hair perfume, it’s not meant to moisturize and with light usage does not damage your hair.

@mar – girl, black vanilla ain’t got nothing on this sweet stuff! lol! and since it’s just scent all you get is the cotton candy smell. i do agree with you that the cd smells good as well as the essential oils.

@jess – you should use it as the last thing you put on your hair after moisturizing and sealing and no, it won’t dry your hair out if you only use a couple of mists. it’s only designed to scent the hair and you only need one or two pumps of it.

I want to know two things… Can I use this product after applying all of my oils after washing, and will this stuff dry my hair out??

Will def need to try this one! But —as much as I HATE Carol’s Daughter hair products, I must say their leavin Black Vanilla conditioner smells AMAZING. I’ve gotten too many compliments on the street from folks. Of course it doesn’t do jack to condition, but stuff smells great.

Another alternative would be after styling to top your tresses, top it off with a few drops of essential oils— vanilla, neroli and almond are personal faves!
