i normally keep it 100% fashion and hair around here because well, that’s what the blog is all about. but since i’ve been having so much fun offline, i decided to share a little bit more about my life. i’m a very private person outside of my sisters and close girlfriends whom i treat like my sisters, so sharing things about my personal life besides work or blogging is a bit unusual and rare for me.

but you guys have been following and supporting me for a while now and i thought it would be a bit different to add a little twist to the blog by talking a little more about my personal life. though, full disclosure here! i could freak out over this decision in a day, month or whenever and delete all evidence to said twisting!

as of the last few months i’ve been dating. you know, get dinner, go bowling, go to the beach, yada yada. yes, all in repeated sessions – and not in the exact same order.

i was talking to one of my close girlfriends on the phone last week trying to catch up as we’d been out of touch for a while.

j: “hey girl! so me and you at a happy hour. we need to do this. put it in your busy calendar. i don’t want to hear you can’t.”

me: “done and done. come early so we can hang out after and get caught up.”

j: “what’s new?”

me: “ah nothing much…blogging, blah, blah, work stuff, blah, blah. oh and i’m dating.”

j: “finally! we really need to get caught up because i need all the deets!”

she say’s finally like it’s been forever. okay she’s right. it has been forever.

one of the best things about this experience is that i always get to prep to go out so that means i get to try lots of different hair styles. though nothing too high up just yet, i don’t want to scare anyone off with a crazy, frizzed-out pompadour!

so, that’s what’s happening with my in my life right now besides work; which is a good change because it’s ALWAYS work for me. also, all these new hair dos and outfit changes has inspired me to bring “my week cap” back on a more consistent basis.

oh, and as for my hair, the ONLY thing i did was blow it out and braid it up and used some aveda be curly curl enhancer which is the bomb dot com <-- click to see my product review. i left the braids in for two days - i wore a beanie hat. but it was not intentional, i was just working from home and when i did have to run out it was so quick that i didn't have to take my hair down and the beanie sufficed. i like it like this because it gives me more length. this is my first blow dry braid out. i'm feeling some kinda of way about this hair because it's swanging in the wind! i'm lovng it! i need to make this my official date hair! lol! :)
