London born Carly Cushnie has a beautiful head of trademark short, cropped blonde curls. A design maven who has accomplished so much in her short and very impressive career, Carly rocks standout curls with a sleek and sophisticated rock-star appeal that are not often seen behind the catwalk so her modern and fresh style and beautiful hair certainly speaks for itself.
One half of design duo Cushnie et Ochs, the designer has an impressive resume. After graduating high school, she attended Parsons School of Design in both Paris and New York following that up with design work with Donna Karen and Proenza Schouler and an internship at Oscar de la Renta all before she turned 30. After finishing up her studies, Carly launched her line Cushnie et Ochs with design partner Michelle Ochs in 2009.
Known for her bold blonde hue and recent pixie cut, Carly’s look is effortless which is why her dramatic cut works so well. After wearing a mid length curly afro and recently settling on this modern mo-hawked style and finding her natural hair grove, she has never looked so good! “I use ‘It’s A 10 Miracle Daily Conditioner’, L’ANZA Healing Smooth Smoother Straightening Balm and Moroccan oil,” shes stated before on what she uses to take care of her trademark blonde curls.
Carly gets props for not only crafting mean ‘beast pieces’ for the catwalk, but for being proud to wear her curls in front and behind the catwalk. Now that’s what we call a true kinky girl.
