she may not want to talk about hair “no moe” and that’s fine with us, but she’s definitely talking mixing prints and textures. the kinky girl that everyone loves to love, solange has found herself as the new face of madewell’s fall 2012 campaign. as a professional mixtress on the 1′s and 2′s, madewell made a great intentional choice in picking this joyful, orange-lippy loving and versatile entertainer.
i adore madewell because their clothes are casual but pretty enough so that you are still taken seriously and yest still casual enough so that when want to channel your inner relaxed martha’s vineyard persona, you can do that to all while wearing clothes that are, made well. we love their purposeful puns.
as a sidenote, though solange has shared he love for bright colored lips before, i have to say that she is wearing this orange like nobody’s business. it makes me think of mac’s morange and i want to go play makeup right now.
a big fan of prints, i personally feel that this is a great, organic partnership for solange’s style. i can’t wait to see more and if the video below is signs of what’s to come, then i’m pretty sure her advertising push will be cause for me to go out and at least by that too cute polka dot sweater! it just may be a problem that there is a madewell a few blocks from my home. i think i’m going to need to freeze my debit card in a block of ice!

I love Solange, she has such great style which seems so understated but has maximum impact. Whether its her african prints, or her bold orange lipstick! She always has a feature part that she focuses on – either hair, legs or arms.
She is my fashion favourite for sure!
