getting a good finish on a bantu set can often be tricky. just trying to figure out how tight to roll your hair and how many knots to do can get a little bit daunting. additionally, if you have short hair, it can come as a task to get everything right and get your hairs tucked tight enough to end up with a style that is not a hot mess.
i’ll admit, i didn’t master the bantu knot out until my hair was past my shoulders. for some reason, i just could not get it right. there was always som hair left out or some parts that didn’t curl but rather had an add frizzy, zig zag combination going on that threw the entire look off. granted, there was also no really great youtube videos like this one from lee showing us how to get it done. creating bantu knots used to be a total shoot in the dark for me but now i like to think i’ve conquered my bantu.
if you want to bantu your short curls but were not really sure how to do it, this video will give you some good guidance. with the use of a little warm air to get her hair straight, lee works this elegant bantu look like nobody’s business. the best part about this look is that a little patience a great moisturize and a few bobbi pins are all you need to get this style for yourself.

Looks good. Nice video.
I NEEDED this youtube video. The first bantu knot out I did was horrible. I also should invest in a padded brush and blow dryer I see. Maybe stretching my hair would work out far better for me.
I like the new site design ALOT. I was looking for a comment box just to tell you how nice the remodeling looks. This video is great. In a year or two I’ll be able to rock that style. Take care.
thanks so much!
Thank you so much for posting this, bc my BNO was SUPER temperamental today :\
