honey hair mask diy

Honey is effective in treating damaged hair thanks to the humectants it contains. It also smells nice, and will leave hair with a sweet after-scent.

Mix 1/3 cup of honey with 2 tbsp. of olive or almond oil. Carefully apply the mixture through hair, and wrap hair in a shower cap. Leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse.

care free curl goldi’ve been using Carefree Curl Gold on my hair for a minute now. it was actually my sister B that introduced me to it; all by chance of course. i was rummaging through her pj stash when i ran across it about 6 years ago. she told me it worked wonders on her hair – which is 4a/b like mine – so i gave it a try. it did work well for me, but it took a few weeks for me to see the benefit. my hair was a hot mess though at the time (hot mess because it was so dry), but it helped to restore it to a better condition.

from tips i’ve learned from my sister, i’ve grown my hair long and upped my knowledge game so now she calls me for tips. she and i were the first naturals heads in the family.

i’d been using my mix for a few years when I realized that tons of women were blowing up message boards about using this or S-Curl for their natural hair. i think it does so well because it’s 99% oil free and the first and main ingredient in this product is WATER — our natural and best humectant!

this how I make my hair mojo as i call it. i could not live without this stuff. my hair craves it.
