imma do me: what “bad” products work well for your natural hair?

one of the things i love most about being natural is trying out products. in addition to learning about healthy hair practices, putting product on is a gem for me. i love the smells, textures and all of it. but what i love the most is doing me; finding what works for me and her – her being my hair. i’m still working on a name for her. anyway, playing with products gives me the opportunity to find out what she likes and what she does not like because she tells me. i can hear her talk. i’m a hair whisperer.

once a die hard care free curl gold girl — i’m talking since the last 4 years or so, i’m now using s-curl. don’t get me wrong, care free curl gold is great, but i gave it 4 stars because in the natural world, it’s right on the coatail of s-curl as far as moisturizing and leaving your hair soft.

last week the weather was brutal and my hair paid a price for it. this weekend, I realized that my hair was dry. of course, the pj addict in me is constantly looking for a fix so i’m thinking imma just head over to the CVS down the skreet and get me something new.

instead, i headed to my bath closet to rummage through what I ALREADY have. much to my amazement, i found my staple, of all things, moisturizer in the back of the closet.
