the other night, freckle juice (my s.o.) and i were watching the help. i’d waited a while to watch it because i’m not fond of watching movies where black people are suffering through the plight of injustice. i know how the story goes no matter the tale and i get really emotional watching movies like these.
anyway, after the movie was finished freckle juice had his say of what he thought and then i had mine but after we finished discussing the movie, i kept thinking back to the costumes the actors wore. they were styled perfectly for their era and they even inspired me to think about how i could pull in some southern feminine charm touches into my wardrobe and this is what i came up with.
