i have an aunt that cannot pronounce “strawberry” for the life of her. her version of strawberry is skrawberry. as much as my cousins and i try to get her to sound it out, the end result is always skrwaberry and we always end up bursting into fits of laughter. bless her heart.

besides my aunt’s take on strawberries, i’m quite fond of the word and the fruit and have found a way to use them on my natural hair and skin. as a hair mask, strawberries and cream are a great at home spa treatment and for the skin, you can use them as both a mask and scrub and trust me when i say you are going to smell like a berry patch! if you’ve got a few minutes on your hands and feel like dancing you can also jam to skrawberries a la lil mama and bounce around in your flyest get up while you treat your hair and face. and peep the little natural bella in the video too. she’s got major kiddo natural hair game. i’m a pre-poo geek! i love mixing things up in blenders and getting sticky fingers with honey and oils.

notice i said honey. i keep telling kinky haired naturals like myself to start using honey. you guys have really got to stop sleeping on one of god’s greatest hair elixirs!
