flowers on jeans? eekkkk! okay, calm down, because these ain’t your mama’s or grandmama’s jeans. floral jeans will be errywhere this summer. trust me, i’m a fashion genie, i can sense this kind of stuff. and when i tell you that there will NOT be any horrid flashbacks of sixteen candle-esque, 80′s nostalgia gone wrong, you can breathe a sigh of relief. oh, we are most definitely gonna be molly wringwalding it around here, but you best believe, our inner molly is going to be bringing it like we are doing with these floral printed high-waisted straight-leg jeans.

go faded soft and not over-sized. you can do big flowers on bikinis and a-line skirts, but try to avoid them on jeans since only .0001% of designers will get over-sized flowers on jeans right. these jeans are perfect for spring with their light putty colored and pastel-multicolored floral print cut in a classic five-pocket style with a zip fly and button closure at the waist. an easy way to balance floral jeans to make sure you don’t go to frilly on the shoes. resist the urge to add more flowers and think complete opposites like these fergie wedges. denim like butter with Levi’s® jeans

i hate trying on jeans. i despise it. there are just too many logistics involved and way too many pairs of jeans. i hate that feeling of going into a store, picking up your size, you know because the tag says so, and then having a breakdown in the dressing room. the thigh area is too tight, the butt area flattens you out, and pulling them own makes for olympic try outs. you walk in empty handed and you leave just as empty.

after going through the muss and fuss with jeans it was much to my surprise when i walked into a Levi’s® store and like butter, slid my way into a pair of skinny jeans in a dark rinse aptly named, infinite, without the fight i usually endure. thanks to their new Curve ID system, i was able to walk in and walk out like i’d gone in to simply pick out a new pair of socks. with an option of Slight Curve, Demi Curve, Bold Curve and Supreme Curve as cuts, i fell right in line at Demi and every pair of Demi Curve jeans i picked up fit like a glove. okay then, Levi’s®, show us how it’s really done.

it’s a simple process. you go in, you get measured by a Levi’s® associate and you find your curve and then the fun begins. once you know your curve you can pick up any pair of jeans in your curve and size and go to the dressing room and bat them out of the park one after the other. “jeans that fit every body?” yeah, yeah. i was a true skeptic, but not anymore.

nikia went along for the Curve ID ride and was just as successful as i was with her skinny cords in driftwood. the kicker was that she is Demi Curve too. we both assumed that because she is a model that she would be a Slight Curve, but as our sales associates allison and danielle explained in detail, it’s the shape of your body’s curves that determines which fit you are, not the size. love that.

this was one of the first times i actually had fun in the dressing room, putting on back to back pairs of jeans that fit me like a glove. i have to say that Levi’s® hit it out of the park with this one because since i got them, i want to live in my new Demi Curve skinny jeans.

one of my newly watched chictopians krissbliss showed off her seven for all man kind jeans the other day and i instantly fell in love.

i have a soft spot in my heart for the wide leg jean and even though i wear slim legs, i’ve never let the wide leg jean go “out of season” for myself. bootleg, wide leg, flair, i love them all.

kriss’s jeans cost what can be a grip in this economy so i had to find some alternatives that were just as fly.

classic flare legs

distressed flares

krissbliss is rocking her “california vintage” seven for all mankind jeans with distressed details and if that’s more up your alley, you can get her look for milk money! the comparable destroyed lexi flare jean features destroyed detailing. this pair has a 21″ leg opening with front slash pockets, coin pocket, and back piece patch pockets and cost around $65. with a little less ripping, the destroyed curvy flare jean are around $35 and feature a denim wash body with destroyed detailing throughout, basic five pocket design and curvy 20″ boot leg opening. next up, and one of my personal faves, we have the destroyed flare jean featuring worn and destroyed detailing. this pair has a 21″ leg opening and cost less than $35! for a touch more relaxed style, but not lacking on the destroyed details, the amethyst back flap womens jeans are wrinkled and whiskered and have embroidery details on the back back. with heavy grinding and tearing throughout as well as faded thighs and seat, these jeans look super high end, but cost less than $30!
