we’ve seen them everywhere – but mostly on celebs, and when we do see them – they fit like a charm, like a custom made charm. i’m talking leather pants.

most women covet leather pants and either love them or hate them, and i hate to be the bearer of bad news (well, depending on how you look at it), but leather pants are for women on the slim side. this may be a little un-pc, but the bigger you are, the less appealing leather pants are. and i say this with all good intention. i honestly think after a size 10, you are skating into hooch territory with slim fits, though you may be able to get away with a looser fit up to a 12. but hey, that’s just my fashion OPINION. in no way, shape, or form am i being discriminatory; only sharing fashion advice.

with that being said. let’s go over some basic rules to choosing the perfect pair of leather pants.

big black hair, black fly jacket, black leggings and black leather boots.

black is the go-to color when you just.don’t.know.what.to.wear.

it’s almost hard to fail when you wear black. the key to black is just to make sure that your blacks match. don’t put on a black pair of leggings but a faded black tee shirt. all of your blacks should be identical/in the same family or at least look that way to the naked eye.

tip: simply lay all of your black items that you plan to wear together side by side before getting dressed and do it in bright light. what may look okay will shine like a white light in a camera flash or under restaurant lights. so even if you think you can pull of faded non-matching blacks at night, think again.

to top it off, a pop of color like the red scarf this chick is sporting really pulls the outfit together.
