blue nails are everywhere; on the bus and on the train and all over music videos. since the russian navy explosion by opi a few years ago, blue nail polishes have only gotten lighter and lighter and we have finally landed at the pale, baby blues for finger paint.

nars has a new limited edition color called blue lagoon. this bottle does the color no justice, you have to see it to really covet it. click on the bottle to learn more.

but if blue lagoon does not rock your socks, then sally hensen’s brisk blue is another alternative and one you can pick up quickly at your local pharmacy. any excuse to go to walgreens or cvs, huh?

during the summer, the glowing, dewy face is in, but it takes the right products and application to get this look just right.

start off by prepping your face with a good 15 spf moisturizer. after that has dried and soaked into your skin, apply a primer if you like. for a summer face, i like murad skin perfecting primer in “dewy finish” if you are dry to normal skin and in “matte” if you have oily skin (with oily skin, you don’t too want many layers of “dew”)

top your primer off with a skin illuminator that won’t run and lasts all day without making you look like a rejected dreamgirl.

a popular, “almost everyone likes” product for this is nars “orgasm” illuminator. another good option is clinique “up lighting” illuminator and victoria’s secret “pro face” illuminator.

light up your face and it will be sure to light up any room you grace.
